Can my girl wrestle?

If she meets our age requirements, YES! Boys AND girls are allowed to join the club and wrestle.

Besides at State Qualifiers and the State Championship (and a couple other miscellaneous tournaments), girls will usually be wrestling with boys during competitions.

During competitions, girls will need to wear some type of compression shirt under their singlet and a hair cap under their headgear.

How do I register?

Registration is ONLINE only, and will be opening in early October for the season.  You can register online at www.bdyw.org/club-registration. You will also need to register your wrestlers for their USA wrestling card. Details and instructions are available during the registration process.

When are the tournaments?

Tournaments are usually every weekend. Usually on Sunday mornings. As tournaments get posted we will be working on a schedule of what tournaments the team will be going to.  The coaching staff will release a list of tournaments shortly after the start of each season, that we, as a club, will be attending each weekend, and we make every effort possible to ensure we have appropriate coaching staff there to assist the wrestlers at these tournaments.  You are welcome to attend other or additional tournaments at your discretion.

Tournaments aren’t required, but definitely can take your wrestler to the next level. Also, you can attend other tournaments on your own besides ones the team is going to whenever you want.
